Hilton Family is "Ready To Serve"

Hilton Family Music always try to run the ministry in themes.  Our theme now is "Ready To Serve".

God has placed in our hearts this all important theme and has shown us that our willingness to sreve is a one of the characteristics of a genuine believer.  To serve the Lord (not for our salvation but out of love and adoration to Him) and to also serve others.  This message can be easily found throughout the Bible.  Therefore, we have determined that music and performance is not about us but about God and you.  (Of course we already knew that but sometimes we lose track and it is good to be constantly reminded).

We are all pumped up and Ready To Serve.

We are excited about a brand new album entitled "Ready To Serve".  Each of our recordings have been influenced by someone in the group. Our first and second project were primarily mine.  The third and fourth projects were influenced mostly by the girls (Jessie and Julia).  I would have to say this project has it's greatest influences from Dale and Ray.  So, it is a bit of a departure from our other albums.  The title track "Ready To Serve" is a song written by me and arranged by the family.  It is a new style country song with an up front fiddle, powerful lead guitar, distinct drumming and a dynamite bass guitar.  It has an upbeat tempo and has a message challenging us to serve.

There will be twelve song selections on this album, eight of the songs are written by us and are an expression of who we are and what we feel.  The four other songs are "What Child Is This", a Christmas song, which we play all year round.  This song has evolved throughout the past fifteen years.  It started out with me playing guitar and Cathy singing, but now it is full scale production.  It is a moving piece with a great deal of emotion.  The next song is that great hymn of the faith "When I Survey The Wondrous Cross".   This is a powerful song in and of itself, but we do it with a little different arrangement and it is a song that we hope will find its way back into our worship services.  The next song is written by Barbi and Terry Franklin of Texas and the song was made famous by the Martins, "Out of His Great Love".    We chose this song because of the powerful truth in the message that God really does love us.  We also liked the lively beat that gets the audience up and joining in with clapping and maybe even a little dancing.  The last song which we chose, out of many great songs that have been written, is a song by Dottie Rambo called "New Shoes"  this speaks of heaven.  What a time it is going to be when we walk those streets of gold in new shoes.  This is another song with a beat that will set your shoes a tapping.

We are so proud of each and every one of the kids who have put their all into this project.  They play on it, they sing on it, they have arranged each and every song and they have done a great job.

We hope to see every one of you as we travel to your fine town bringing the message God has given us.

Your Servant in Christ Jesus,  Eric Hilton
